The Public House
A Local Institution

The hotel, inn, tavern, bistro, restaurant, indeed the industry we call hospitality today, finds it's humble beginnings in the public house.  At the corner of every major crossroads, the public house is the assembly place in it's locale. Here family meets world.  Families congeal as the local community forms and defines itself.

The public house serves as hostel, kitchen and tap; the heart of the local community!  It is here where famIly and community milestones are declared, observed and celebrated.  More than that it is gossip central where the community pulse is gauged and community plans are forged.

In the eye of that whirling storm we call community stands the public house.

The Publican

The publican keeps his ear to the ground.  He serves as his community's primary cheerleader and booster. He is the natural local impresario, host of the dance, master of ceremonies, promoter and champion of causes.  He is councillor and diplomat, anchor and arbiter of taste.  Catering to his patrons in all their varied preferences he greets them each by name with a smile and an appreciative slap on the back.

Housing the buzz that is community life, inspiring the profitable buzz in business, is the publican's celebrated right.  Hosting local festivities, his privilege and delight, are his forte; his pride and joy.  Igniting joy, fun, and excitement at every opportunity are the publican's calling and vocation.

Entertainment and Hospitality

Hiring entertainment is a critical decision.  The part-time amateur could scare thousands right out of your till while regulars cash out and leave.  Some tables will call for the tab and close out as they see the speakers dragged in.  Only the full-time professional can be counted upon to earn his wage.  The artist's fee is the least important factor in the process.

Professional entertainers and musicians are the traditional partners and allies of the publican.  They assist you to build your business, extend your hospitality, urging your business to maintain a defining role in the community.

The professional entertainer is a little larger than life.  He meets and greets tens, hundreds, even thousands of guests at a glance.  The proof of the professional is found in the cash register at the end of the performance and residually for days and weeks to come.

The professional entertainer will enhance an event igniting a party wherever he chooses.  Patrons stay longer, spend more money and eat and drink more.  They will take home memories and return more frequently, bringing their friends hoping to recreate the exciting moment of that performance.
